UFC’s James Vick at TTHA Extravaganza Sellmark Booth

(MANSFIELD, TEXAS 2019/08/08) – Sellmark is proud to announce that UFC prizefighter, James “The Texecutioner” Vick is appearing at the company’s booth (# F360) on Saturday, August 10, at 1 – 2:30 p.m. during the 2019 Texas Trophy Hunters Association (TTHA) Extravaganza, at the Fort Worth Convention Center, in Fort Worth, Texas. Vick will be available in the booth for photos and autographs and is looking forward to talking to attendees about all things hunting, shooting and MMA fighting.

As an amateur boxer, James “The Texecutioner” Vick was awarded two Golden Gloves and amassed a record of 17-3-0 before appearing on UFC’s Ultimate Fighter TV Show. Soon after, Vick contracted with the UFC for championship MMA fighting where he rose through the ranks of the organization’s lightweight division. Recently, with a UFC lightweight record of 13-4-0, Vick announced a move to the UFC’s welterweight division and is looking forward to joining a fight card in his new weight class.

Sellmark Acquires Kopfjäger

(MANSFIELD, TEXAS 2019/06/04) Sellmark is proud to announce the addition of Kopfjäger to the corporation’s family of popular brands. Launched in 2012 with the design of an innovative rifle rest, the popularity of Kopfjager products has skyrocketed.

Kopfjäger began humbly with a rifle rest designed, tested and redesigned by two SWAT officers, Garret Hellinger and Matt Banes. Given their LE experience, the two officers were looking for a way to minimize human factors, especially stress-induced, detrimental to precise shot placement. They also wanted to ensure their shooting rest solution was lightweight and mobile, yet rock-solid with fluid horizontal and vertical tracking.

Beginning in 2013, trials, errors and re-designs led to the introduction of the Reaper Rest, a tripod-mountable system that changed the way law enforcement and military operators were able to engage targets with precision accuracy. Shortly after the Reaper Rest was developed, Gabe Snyder joined Matt and Garret as a partner and began managing product design and development. Gabe’s efforts enhanced design, development and patentable innovation efforts tremendously and, in 2015, Kopfjäger unveiled the Reaper Grip. 

With the immediate rise of Kopfjäger ’s popularity among special-operations law enforcement officers and military personnel, scores of hunters and competitive shooters also took notice. The Reaper Grip took hunting and shooting by storm and positioned Kopfjäger on the industry’s leading edge.

Sellmark proudly supports the next generation of outdoor writers by awarding two individuals with a scholarship to attend the 2019 Professional Outdoor Media Association Conference (POMA) in Wichita, Kansas.

Sellmark congratulates the winners, Jacki Billings, shooting editor for Guns.com and Courtney Ogden, a photographer based out of Louisiana.

Jacki Billings is a devoted mother, journalist, photographer and gun aficionado. As a freelance writer, she has worked closely with Guns.com, NRA Shooting Sports USA and RECOIL magazine. Jacki focuses on concealed carry and women’s topics, using her influence to motivate women to protect themselves and live the concealed carry lifestyle.

Courtney Ogden is an outdoor enthusiast and photographer, and was introduced to hunting by her husband in 2009. She counts whitetail deer and turkey among her favorite pursuits and fishes throughout the year. Ogden started Sportswomen United in hopes of helping outdoorswomen to come together.

Dianna has led the privately-held corporation through challenge and victory – growing the once-small startup to a multi-million-dollar international enterprise with headquarters on two continents.

During her tenure, Dianna played a pivotal role in the development of accomplished, dexterous leaders within the company and establishment of sustainable operational processes which have led to Sellmark’s continued growth. The company’s focus on the creation of a new, unmatched model for operational efficiency, coupled with a deserved reputation for innovation and perspicacious to-market strategy consistently delivers top- and bottom-line growth outpacing competitors.

Dianna’s departure comes at a time of exceptional growth for the company, now led by President and Founder James Sellers and his advisory Board of Directors. “Dianna and I both have a passion for and belief in this company,” Mr. Sellers remarked, “Her record of operational excellence, professionalism and hard work leaves a rooted culture of diligence and call to similar greatness for each and every employee here at Sellmark.”
